Hi Renee, Thanks for getting in touch and we appreciate everything you did for us in preparation for a wonderful tour. This tour was possibly the best we have had yet and the students were one of the best groups we have taken in regard to their behaviour and willingness immerse themselves in the Japanese culture. The highlights were the baseball at Koshien, The Harry Potter section at Universal( which we recommend getting in as early as possible in the morning to see as we left it till 1:30 and it was packed), The accommodation and breakfasts on this tour were the best we have ever had, especially the Prince in Tokyo where we had the fantastic view of Tokyo tower from our rooms and that wonderful central location. Ghibli museum was ok but I am not sure if we will include it again as not exactly as we anticipated in regard to the characters and layout inside. More exciting for those students interested in animation as a career. Qantas flights were absolutely packed this trip with many other school groups and this trip the planes were old and tired which is not particularly what we expected. Things like my seat both ways unable to lock in the upright position. A students tv screen falling out mid-flight and being taped back in. And inflight service not as good as I remember in the past with meal options limited in quantity. In contrast other groups who flew Virgin on this tour were very happy with their trip. ( Beign a Qantas frequent flyer this is difficult for me to admit) The Owl café in Osaka was also a particular highlight for the students especially after the Harry Potter experience. Thanks again for all of your assistance in getting us safely there and back and we definitely felt at ease and confident that everything that you booked was secure and just having the JTB brand behind the bookings made a big difference on this tour. Dear Steven, On behalf of southport Gateball team I must thank you and your company, JTB, for the good organization that enabled us to have such a hassle free time in Niigata. We arrived earlier than expected but we were taken directly to the Silver Bandai Hotel in Niigata. This hotel is not a flash, new hotel but an established place situated in a stylish area of Niigata. Name brand shops were close by and terrific restaurants were also just around the corner. So, we were glad we were allocated that hotel. The bus arrangements were faultless getting us where we wanted and in time. The boxed lunches were delicious and everyone commented on their high quality. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I have had many years of living and working in Japan plus visiting since 1990 when our sone moved here to work. So I was pleased my team members were able to experience the good hospitality – Japanese style. All in all we had a really good time on the trip. We won two of our three matches, came second in our Block but did not advance any further, unfortunately. The competition is tough. We did the best of all of the Australian teams and we are happy becaue last World Championship we won just one game. Now we are holidaying here. The JR East Rail pass was my decision and we all thought it was good value. I have usually used the seven day or fourteen day pass previously. Thanks again for your assistance. Best wishes, Barbara

Dear Renee We are back!! We left Narita just before the delays started with the typhoon approaching.. It was a fabulous trip Renee – all perfectly organised and the Inns far exceeded our expectation with accommodation and food. So thank you very much for all your effort and perfect planning. Atsu, I have just had a half hour conversation for Lorraine and Lorraine. They absolutely loved their time in Japan. They cannot praise the guides on the tour enough. They were kept up to date with what was happening, where to meet the guide at the end of the train ride and what would then happen. Everything went like clockwork. They were hoping to be able to thank the guide that met them in Tokyo at the end of the tour, however, she was assisting another couple to another car when their driver started them on their way to their hotel. Hi Mende, Thanks for all your help with our Tokyo arrangements. Every arrangement you made for us went really well. We really enjoyed the trip and appreciated your help in arranging transfers and tours. The cherry blossom was just beginning as got there. So we were able to experience this aspect of the tour also. The Hotel New Otani was excellent too, and a real treat for the kids and a good base for exploring the city. Subway travel was convenient and close to where we stayed, and there wasn’t any aspect of the trip we didn’t enjoy.
