Wonderful Nakasendo Walk Tour

Thursday, July 28th, 2016
Hi Koyomi, I wanted to thank you very much for organising our trip to Japan. We had the most wonderful experience. The Nakasendo Walk was very special and we had an excellent guide and lively and friendly group to share the experience. Lucky us! Our trip to Uji with Sunrise Tours was a highlight; again a lovely knowledgeable guide and a restful experience compared to the busyness of Kyoto. We have many happy memories and much fondness for our Japan trip. With best wishes Di & Freya

JTB did a great job

Hi Emma Thanks. We just got back this morning after 9 hour Jetstar delayed flight. At least they let us know in advance so we had an extra half day in Tokyo. We did have an amazing holiday thanks to an exceptional itinerary. Kamikochi, with its pristine alpine setting, was a highlight as was the walk along the Nakasendo Way from Magome to Tsumago and I cannot recommend these places highly enough for anyone looking for an authentic Japanese nature and cultural experience. You and JBT did a great job with the choice of accommodation in the smaller towns which enabled us to experience the full Japanese Ryokan and Onsen experience. The set dinners provided at the Ryokans in Hakone and Kamikochi were excellent and the standard of accommodation was very high quality. My favourite hotel of all was the Kisoji in Nagiso which is actually a large resort with extensive public hot spring baths and most welcome after a long day’s walk. The large hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto were acceptable and reasonably located but I would not necessarily recommend them to anyone as they are large and impersonal with very small rooms. The Kyoto night tour and Nara tour were excellent I am happy to provide further feedback. Thanks again for organising this Japanese experience for us. Regards, Boris

Enormous impression for Japan and JTB

Hi Tony Trust all OK – and I’m not chasing you for membership or a conference registration (although that would be nice) I’m actually writing with a JTB staff comment – my eldest daughter Sacha was in your office earlier today collecting some rail passes (she and her partner are having a Japan holiday in mid-August) – and she actually rang me after she’d left the office wondering if I knew anyone at JTB so I could pass on a message. Why? Because she was so impressed with the politeness and overall service received she felt it should be commended. Your lady at reception was overflowing with polite Japanese hospitality and exceptional service – it made an enormous impression on my daughter for both Japan and of course JTB… so if you could please congratulate your receptionist on my daughter’s behalf; it would be very much appreciated. All the best Tony, talk soon Cheers ian
