This is an experience where you can paint a mini Chochin lantern at a long-established Chochin lantern shop that has been in business for over 100 years and take them home as a souvenir. You can paint your favorite illustrations, letters, and other designs, and you can even write your name in kanji (the craftsman will teach you the kanji). The Chochin lanterns are designed to be displayed upright and folded small, making them easy to take home with you.
You can directly interact with fourth and fifth-generation Chochin lantern craftsmen from a long-established Chochin Lantern shop that was founded over 100 years ago • The experience takes place in a workshop, so you can see many professional works. In the painting experience, you can receive instruction from a professional craftsman and create your own original design.
