Visit Arahama Elementary School building, which had been badly damaged in the tsunami but now acts as a museum for disaster education and prevention. The exhibits show the ferocity of the nature, and tell stories of survival and lives changed forever. Learn about new disaster prevention measures and development taking place, and feel the hope and resilience of the city and its residents as they build a bright future for the next generation.

Visit the Sendai 3.11 Memorial Community Centre

Pick up bike and helmet, ride to Arahama Elementary School
Ride to the memorial site past some beautiful country scenery
Ride back and return bikes

Tour ends at Arai Station
