Visit Arahama Elementary School building, which had been badly damaged in the tsunami but now acts as a museum for disaster education and prevention. The exhibits show the ferocity of the nature, and tell stories of survival and lives changed forever. Itinerary:

13:00 – Meet at Arai Station

16:00 – 

Visit the Sendai 3.11 Memorial Community Centre

Pick up bike and helmet, ride to Arahama Elementary School
Ride to the memorial site past some beautiful country scenery
Ride back and return bikes

Tour ends at Arai Station
