Learn about history of Sendai city and sample some local specialties 

Join this tour to learn about famous samurai Date Masamune, founder of Sendai City, who is remembered not only as a great leader, but also for his love of food and appreciation of arts. Explore the downtown area sampling some delicacies at the local market, visit a hidden temple nestled within a busy shopping arcade and grill your own Kamaboko fishcake. After that you will take a city loop bus to three locations closely connected to the legacy of Date: Zuihoden, the Date mausoleum, Aoba-castle and Osaki Hachimangu Shrine.



12:25 – Meet your guide in front of the JR Sendai Station

12:30 – Head to a unique vending machine for local sake tasting!

12:40 – Enjoy a walking tour around downtown Sendai City stopping at 5-6 cultural or foodie highlights.

14:07 – Board the city loop bus and visit 3 different locations

17:10 – Tour ends upon return to Sendai Station.
