DAY 1: Wednesday 18 September Tokyo

Upon arrival at Narita/Haneda Airport, clear immigration and customers then transfer by busto Tokyo city and check into your hotel.

DAY 2: Thursday 19 September Tokyo – Sapporo <B>

Transfer to Haneda Airport by chartered bus and take a domestic flight to Sapporo, Japan’s most northern Island. Transfer from Airport to Sapporo city hotel by chartered bus and check-in.

DAY 3: Friday 20 September Sapporo <B, L>

Your sightseeing journey officially begins today visiting some of the natural beauty of this region, Sounkyo, Kurodake Ropeway, Buei and Furano.

DAY 4: Saturday 21 September Sapporo <B>

Travel to Sapporo Dome for the first pool match.

DAY 5: Sunday 22 September Sapporo – Lake Toya <B, L, D>

Discover more of the beauty of this island visiting, Lake Toya which is part of the Shikotsu national park. Here visit Sairo viewing spot, Showa Shinzan, Mt. Usu ropeway. Also take a short cruise of the lake.

DAY 6: Monday 23 September Lake Toya – Hakodate <B, L>

Travel to Hakodate, Hokkaido’s third largest city and visit the western district, Kanamori Red Brick Warehouse, Tachimachi-misaki. In the evening option to visit Mt Hakodate, noted for its splendid night view.

DAY 7: Tuesday 24 September Hakodate – Sendai <B>

Send your large luggage onto Tokyo city.
Travel from Hakodate to Sendai by Shinkansen bullet train and overnight. Sendai is the largest city in the Northeast region of Japan’s main island.

DAY 8: Wednesday 25 September Sendai – Nikko <B, L>

Today visit Matsushima, famous for its bay dotted by many pine clad islets. Take a cruise along the bay and also visit the famous Zuiganji Temple. In the afternoon, continue travelling south of Japan’s main Island by Shinkansen bullet train to Nikko.

DAY 9: Thursday 26 September Nikko – Tokyo <B, L>

Nikko sightseeing by chartered bus visiting, Nikko Toshogu, Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Waterfall. In the afternoon travel further south to Tokyo city.

DAY 10: Friday 27 September Tokyo <B, L>

Tokyo sightseeing by chartered bus visiting, Imperial Palace, Tokyo Sky Tree, Meiji Jingu Shrine and Ginza, Akihabara (drive-by).

DAY 11: Saturday 28 September Tokyo <B>

Free at leisure.

DAY 12: Sunday 29 September Tokyo <B>

Travel to Tokyo Stadium with tour escort by local train.

Day 13: Monday 30 September Tokyo – Fuji Hakone <B, L, D>

Send your large luggage onto Kanazawa.
Today’s Hakone and Lake Ashi sightseeing tour includes Mt Fuji viewing spots, Lake Ashi Cruise, Owakudani Valley, Mt Komagatake and Hakone ropeway.

Day 14: Tuesday 1 October Hakone – Takayama <B, L>

Travel to Takayama town by chartered bus. Upon arrival at Takayama visit San-machi and Takayama Yatai Kaikan, some of the local attractions.

Day 15: Wednesday 2 October Takayama – Shirakawago – Kanazawa <B, L>

Today travel to UNESCO World Heritage Shirakawago, famous for its traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses. Enjoy lunch here. Then travel onto Kanazawa city, visiting Kenroku Garden, one of Japan’s most beautiful gardens.

Day 16: Thursday 3 October Kanazawa <B>

Free at leisure.

Day 17: Friday 4 October Kanazawa – Haneda Airport – Fukuoka <B>

Take 2 domestic flights today. Kanazawa to Haneda (Tokyo), then Haneda to Fukuoka, which is the southern most of the four main islands of Japan.

Day 18: Saturday 05 October – Fukuoka – Oita – Fukuoka <B>

Transfer to/from Oita Stadium by chartered bus. Cheer on the Wallabies!

Day 19: Sunday 06 October – Fukuoka – Hiroshima <B, L>

Send your large luggage onto Kyoto.
Depart for Hiroshima city by JR Shinkansen bullet train. Upon arrival visit the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Dome.

Day 20: Monday 07 October – Hiroshima <B, L>

Today visit, Miyajima Island and the World Heritage listed Itsukushima Shinto Shrine. This famous icon is known for its floating red torii gate in the water.

Day 21: Tuesday 08 October – Hiroshima – Nara – Kyoto <B, L>

Depart Hiroshima city and travel by Shinkansen bullet train to Shin-Osaka, then bus onto Nara. Here visiting the famous Todaiji Temple, where the big Buddha resides and Kasuga Taisya Shrine. Travel onto Kyoto city.

Day 22: Wednesday 09 October – Kyoto <B, L>

Today visit some of the main sites in Kyoto including the Golden Pavilion, Sanjusangendo and Kiyomizu Temple.

Day 23: Thursday 10 October – Kyoto <B>

Day 24: Friday 11 October – Kyoto – Nagoya – Shizuoka – Kakegawa <B>

Today travel from Kyoto to Shizuoka.
