The ‘Lakeside Trek’ Package delves into the areas located North East of Osaka City- inclusive of both Fukui and Shiga Prefectures. Seize the opportunity to discover each of their own unique landscapes at your own pace- through immersive experiences and self- guided exploration. Become spellbound by the gorgeous views along Lake Biwa in Shiga, and be absorbed into hands-on experiences in Fukui- these areas are not to be missed on your next trip to Japan!

Only about a 2-hour train ride from Osaka City, Fukui is where we’ll stay 2 nights. This Prefecture has much to offer to all kinds of travelers from beautiful landscapes to historical marvels. Indulge in some other specialty experiences local to Fukui- Taste some of Fukui’s Finest Sake, before creating your own bespoke pair of sunglasses. Both experiences included in this package.

Not far from Fukui, around 40 minutes out of Kyoto, travelers will spend another 2 nights in Shiga where an included 1 day’s bike hire awaits perfect for exploring around the picturesque Lake Biwa.
