This combination package combines multiple tours. Enjoy sightseeing around Kyoto, Mt. Fuji, Tokyo, and other popular sites in Japan all led by a National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter. Even people who are not used to travelling in Japan will have no problem participating worry-free.

 

Day 1 Kansai Airport – Kyoto

Arrive at Kansai International Airport 
The taxi driver will meet customers at the airport in time for their flight and drop them off at their hotel in Kyoto City.

Day 2 Kyoto – Nara – Nagoya

Nijo-jo Castle 
A World Heritage site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see.

Kinkaku-ji Temple 
A World Heritage site. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond.

(Except Mondays) Kyoto Imperial Palace 
See the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was used as the Emperor’s residence until about 150 years ago.

(Mondays (and Tuesdays when Monday is a national holiday)) Kitano Tenmangu Shrine 
On Mondays (and Tuesdays if a national holiday falls on the preceding Monday), this tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead of the Kyoto Imperial Palace. It is famous for housing the God of scholarship. This shrine’s main hall is a designated national treasure. The shrine is especially great to see during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons.

Lunch 
Enjoy a Japanese/Western-style buffet for lunch. As the meal is served buffet style, vegetarian customers are also welcome.

From Kyoto to Nara 
Head to Nara via Keinawa Expressway

Todai-ji Temple (Great Buddha) / Nara Park 
A World Heritage site. This is the symbol of the Nara Period and one of the world’s largest wooden structures. Its huge main hall and bronze Great Buddha are impressive to behold.

Kasuga Taisha Shrine 
This Nara Period shrine is designated as a World Heritage Site. The deer of Nara Park are thought to be the shrine messengers.

Nara Nagomikan 
The largest souvenir shop in Nara. Enjoy yourself in this spacious shop and look for the perfect souvenir.

Kyoto Station 
An assistant will guide participants to the station platform, but will not board the Shinkansen.

From Kyoto Station to Nagoya Station

Nagoya Station 
An English-speaking tour conductor will meet participants at Nagoya Station.
A drop-off service by taxi to accommodations within the city area is available.

Day 3
Depart from Hotel in Nagoya City – Please check out from the hotel on your own and head to Nagoya Station.
8:40 – 9:00 Meet at JR Nagoya Station / Departure – The National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter will be waiting for participants holding a placard at the Tourist Information Center inside Nagoya Station. Please be at the meeting location at least 10 minutes before departure.
Ride the limited express train Wide View Shinano (ordinary car, reserved seat).
For Day 3 Important Notes, please refer to Remark 6.
Arrive at Nakatsugawa Station / Departure – Transfer to a route bus. Seats are non-reserved.
Arrive at Magome / Sightseeing – The post town sits on a sloped area which stretches for about 600 meters. The road is paved with stones, and lined with houses that evoke the richness of Japan’s history. Take a stroll around Magome, which was awarded one star by the Michelin Green Guide Japan.
Those who would like may be guided around the temple lodging next to the Zen temple’s main hall. Enjoy some matcha green tea and traditional Japanese sweets.
*May be unavailable if the temple is closed.
After sightseeing, take a bus to Tsumago.
Arrive at Tsumago / Sightseeing – Tsumago is Japan’s first post town to preserve its district, creating an area that has seemingly stopped in time 400 years ago.
Head to the Nagisomachi Museum (Tsumago-juku Honjin & Waki Honjin Okuya). Honjin, the post town’s main inn, is where the feudal lords and other people of high status stayed. Afterwards, feel free to enjoy sightseeing.
After sightseeing, take a taxi to JR Nagiso Station.
*The tour may ride in several taxis depending on the number of participants.
Arrive at JR Nagiso Station / Departure – Ride the limited express train Wide View Shinano (ordinary car, reserved seat)
Arrive at JR Nagoya Station – The National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter will accompany participants until arrival at Nagoya Station.
Participants will board the Shinkansen on their own.
17:00 – 18:10 Depart from JR Nagoya Station – Take the Nozomi Shinkansen (ordinary car, reserved seat) to Tokyo.
From Nagoya Station to Tokyo Station
20:00 – 21:00 Tokyo Station – An English-speaking tour conductor will meet participants at Tokyo Station.
A drop-off service by taxi to accommodations within the city area is available.

Day 4
7:35 – 9:00 Pick-up Service – Pick-up service is available at hotel accommodation. Please be at the meeting location at least 10 minutes before departure.

Mt. Fuji 5th Station – The bus will head up to the 5th Station along the Subaru Line.
The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level. At this height, you will be amazed at spectacular, breathtaking views from above the clouds.
Lunch – Enjoy lunch.
Lake Ashi Cruise – This crater lake along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mt. Hakone was formed by a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago, and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji towering 30 km northwest. Admire the superb view of Mt. Fuji from aboard a ship.
*The tour may be guided to another ropeway or an alternative destination if the Lake Ashi cruise operation is suspended, or depending on road conditions, congestion, etc.
Komagatake Ropeway – Take a 7-minute ropeway ride to the peak of Mt. Komagatake. A total of 50 minutes will be spent here, including time to walk around at the peak. Take a cableway ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop.
*The tour may be guided to another ropeway or an alternative destination if the Komagatake Ropeway operation is suspended, or depending on road conditions, etc.
Hakone-en
Tour ends in Tokyo – After arriving, please make your own way to the hotel in Tokyo.

Day 5
7:05 – 7:45 Pick-up Service – Pick-up service is available at hotel accommodation. Please be at the meeting location at least 10 minutes before departure.
7:50 – 8:00 Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo Main Tower 3F Check-in Counter – The tour will depart from Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo for Tokyo sightseeing via tour bus.

National Diet Building (Drive-by) – This is the center of the Japanese Government. Don’t let the impressive Western-style architecture fool you–this building is constructed almost entirely out of pure Japanese materials.
Imperial Palace (Drive-by) – Formerly known as Edo Castle, this palace is the residence of the Emperor of Japan.
The grounds are lush with green foliage and provide a relaxing spot for Tokyoites and visitors alike.
Tsukiji Outer Market – Japan’s No.1 place for seafood with over 400 shops including fresh fish retailers, grocers, and restaurants. Enjoy shopping and try some local food while exploring this one-of-a-kind location.
Kabukiza (Drive-by) – A classic Japanese-style theater where traditional Kabuki performances are held.
Tokyo Skytree Town® – Enjoy freely exploring Tokyo Skytree®, Tokyo Solamachi® which features many traditional Tokyo shops, an aquarium, planetarium, and more.
12:30 – Senso-ji Temple & Nakamise Shopping Street – Senso-ji, Tokyo’s oldest temple, offers plenty to see including the bright red Kaminarimon Gate, a statue of the god of thunder, and a five-story pagoda. The bustling street known as “Nakamise” stretches for about 250 m from Kaminarimon Gate to Senso-ji Temple and is filled with a plethora of shops.
Tour ends in Asakusa after enjoying a stroll around.

– This tour is a combination package made up from multiple Sunrise Tours plans.
– A National Government Licensed English Guide Interpreter or English-speaking assistant will accompany each tour from the meeting point until the tour end. Furthermore, please note that the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter or assistant is generally different for each tour.
– Customers with late-night arrivals or departures at Kansai International Airport may need to wait at the airport for several hours as the shared taxi service will be unavailable.
– This is a special tour for international visitors. Please understand that residents of Japan cannot make bookings for this tour. –
– If the minimum number of participants is not met by 14 days before the scheduled date, the tour on that date may be cancelled.

Suitcases and other large pieces of luggage will be sent from hotels in Kyoto on Day 2 to accommodation in Tokyo separately by truck. (One article of standard size luggage per customer will be transported free of charge.)
(Airport Shuttle Service)
Itami Airport may also be specified for shuttle service on the outbound trip, while Haneda Airport may also be specified for shuttle service on the return trip. In such cases, please inform us when booking.

* (Kyoto & Nara Tour (Day 2))
– Departure will be from the accommodation hotel in Kyoto. For departure times, please refer to the itinerary provided on the day of the tour.
– The Kyoto Imperial Palace is closed on the following days. As such, the tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead.
(Mondays, Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday, May 14-17 for the Aoi Festival, New Year’s holidays, and whenever there is an Imperial Household event).
– The tour will visit Nishi Hongan-ji Temple instead of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine on February 25, March 25 and November 25.
– Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, or if the tour is during the year-end/New Year’s holidays, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead.
– At Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the tour does not include entrance to areas requiring admission.
– Nara Nagomikan may be omitted from the itinerary if it is closed on the day of the tour, or as a result of traffic congestion.
– During the Gion Festival (Sakimatsuri, July 15 – 16), drop-off service to Karasuma Kyoto Hotel and Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto will be unavailable due to traffic restrictions.
– After the tour is over, customers will be taken to their hotel on that day.
* (1-Day Kisoji, Nakasendo Trail Tour: Tsumago & Magome Post Towns (Day 3))
– This tour will use the limited express train Wide View Shinano (ordinary car, reserved seat) for the round trip between Nagoya and Nakatsugawa/Nagiso. The limited express train Wide View Shinano operating schedule and operating section are subject to change. In the case that it cannot be used due to timetable changes, service interruptions, etc., alternate transportation will be provided via Rapid or Local train (ordinary car, non-reserved seat), bus, or other method. Refunds will not be issued, and additional payment will not be required in such cases.
– This tour is conducted on foot. Please participate in shoes and clothes which are easy to walk in. Participants using wheelchairs and those who have trouble walking must participate with a companion. Sightseeing destinations on this tour do not have ample handicap access. There may be locations where a longer route must be taken by such participants, and some spots may not be visitable. Thank you for your understanding. Please use the following average temperatures as a reference:
Jan.-Mar.: 0~3°C, Apr.-June: 10~15°C, July-Sept.: 20~25°C, Oct.-Dec.: 5~13°C
– The order of activities and arrival times may differ depending on road conditions and congestion at destinations. Even if the arrival time is delayed, no compensation will be given for flights, accommodation, meals, taxi fares, etc.
– Participants are free to have their own lunch (lunch not included in the tour). Please follow the instructions of the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter and abide strictly to all itinerary times.
– Large baggage cannot be brought on board. Please store it in lockers at the station before meeting for the tour.
* (2019 Mt. Fuji & Hakone Tour (Day 4))
– The tour departs from the customer’s hotel in Tokyo. For departure times, please refer to the itinerary provided on the day of the tour.
– If Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station cannot be reached due to road surface freezing, an accident on the Fuji Subaru Line, or weather conditions the tour will be taken to the highest elevation point possible. No alternative destinations are planned when the tour reaches beyond the 1st station. When the tour has to turn back at the 1st station, or when the Fuji Subaru Line is completely blocked, the tour will visit Fujisan World Heritage Center or Lake Kawaguchi Oishi Park. Please note that an alternative itinerary may also be omitted depending on road conditions.
– Due to weather conditions, Mt. Fuji may not be visible even from the base. However, the tour will not be cancelled and refunds will not be given for this reason.
– Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station is typically 10 to 15 degrees Celsius colder than Tokyo. On tours from autumn to spring, please bring a coat and other warm clothing.
– If the Lake Ashi Cruise or Komagatake Ropeway are not running due to inclement weather or maintenance, or as a result of events, road or organization circumstances, they may be omitted and replaced with one or more of the following. This will not be used as a reason to cancel the tour, and refunds will not be given for this reason.
Hakone-en Aquarium, Hakone Ropeway, Owakudani Valley, Hakone Pirate Ship, Narukawa Art Museum, Hakone Checkpoint, Lake Kawaguchi Cruise, Mt. Kachi Kachi Ropeway, Itchiku Kubota Art Museum, Hakone Shrine, etc.
– The annual Mt. Fuji Hill Climb will be held on a weekend in June. Please be aware that the itinerary order and destinations to be visited are subject to change. Furthermore, please note that refunds will not be issued in this case, and customers will not be notified separately when the schedule has been determined.

GPS-enabled audio guides are available on this tour in Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Thai, French, and Indonesian. Please make a request when booking if you would like an audio guide. There are a limited number of audio guides available, so it may not be possible to provide one for each participant. Also, no refunds will be issued even if the audio guide is unusable due to weak signal, device issues, Wi-Fi malfunction, etc.
Please inform us when booking if you would like an audio guide. Requests made on the day of the tour will not be accepted. Furthermore, they may be unusable if there are changes to the itinerary. Please note that even in such cases, information will not be provided in advance.

– Admission to the Tokyo Skytree® Tembo Deck is not included in the tour booking charge. Before entering, please pay a separate charge of JPY 2,060 for each person age 18 and older, JPY 1,540 for each person age 12-17, JPY 930 for each person age 6-11, and JPY 620 for each person age 4-5.
