Airport – Tokyo
 A JTB staff member will meet you as you exit customs, holding a welcome sign with your name on it. They will then escort you to your reserved taxi that will take you to your Tokyo hotel.

7:50 – 8:30 Pick-up Service – Gather at designated locations and board bus to Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal where tour will begin.

Tokyo Tower – Enjoy a spectacular view of Metropolitan Tokyo from the observation deck.

Imperial Palace Plaza – Admire the view of Nijubashi Bridge and the surrounding scenery at this National Garden that was formerly a private garden of the Royal Family.

Asakusa Kannon & Shopping at Nakamise – Of the 33 temples in Eastern Japan dedicated to the Goddess Kannon, this is the only one in the capital (No. 13 on the pilgrimage to all 33 temples). Visit this historic area which includes Nakamise-dori, the street leading to the temple.

Ueno & Akihabara (drive-by) – Enjoy a pleasant drive through Ueno, where Tokyo’s first coffee shop once stood, to Akihabara which is home to the famous Electric Town.

12:30 – Tokyo Station (Marunouchi South Exit) – Participants who wish may get off the bus at Akihabara. All other participants will get a view of Akihabara from the bus and continue onto Tokyo Station.

12:50 – Disembark at Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal – Participants will be dropped off at Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal. There is no shuttle service to hotels after the tour.

Tokyo – Mt Fuji – Kyoto

7:50 – 8:30 Pick-up Service – Gather at designated locations and board bus to Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal where tour will begin.

9:00 – Depart Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal – Head to Mt. Fuji by bus (Chuo Expressway or Tomei Expressway).

Mt. Fuji 5th Station – Start the ascent up Mt. Fuji via the Fuji Subaru Line. Drive 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level for breathtaking views from above the clouds.

Lunch – Enjoy a Japanese-style lunch.

Lake Ashi Cruise – Enjoy a sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi, 30km southeast of Mt. Fuji. The crater lake was born from a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji from various angles.

Mt. Komagatake Ropeway – Spend a total of 50 minutes including a 7-minute cableway ride up to the peak from Hakone-en. Discover the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop.

17:00 – 20:15 – Odawara Station – Travel by Hikari or Kodama Shinkansen from Odawara to Kyoto, travel time aprox 180 minutes.

21:30 – 23:15 – Arrive at Hotel in Kyoto – Participants will be taken by taxi from Kyoto station to their hotel.

Nijo Castle – A UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace.

Kinkaku-ji Temple – Visit this World Heritage Site, also known as the Golden Pavilion. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond.

Kyoto Imperial Palace (Mondays to Fridays)

Kitano Tenmangu Shrine (Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and specific days) – Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is the substitute for Kyoto Imperial Palace on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. This shrine’s main hall is a designated national treasure and is famous for housing the God of scholarship. The shrine is especially great to see during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons.

Lunch – Enjoy a Japanese/Western style buffet lunch.

Kyoto to Nara – Travel by bus to Nara by Keinawa Expressway.

Nara Park & Todai-ji Temple (Great Buddha) – A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this is they symbol of the Nara Period and one of the world’s largest wooden structure. It’s huge main hall and bronze Great Buddha are impressive to behold.

Kasuga Taisha Shrine – This Nara Period shrine is designated as a World Heritage Site. The deer of Nara Park are through to be the shrine messengers.

Nara Nagamikan – The largest souvenir shop in Nara. Enjoy this spacious shop and look for the perfect souvenir.

Drop-off Service – Back to your Kyoto hotel.
